  • The complexity and variety of what my patients bring. I like that I never really know what the next consult will bring. When I engage with someone I find that I can learn something off the person – whether it be about their condition, their job or their past experiences. I enjoy my approach to general practice which I try to keep both relaxed and thorough. I find that by giving the patient enough time and doing things right the consult is so much more satisfying for both myself and the patient.

  • My first job was working at a video store. I know a lot about movies and television. Probably because I watch so much. This was a great job for me. I find that there are some similarities to general practice. In both jobs I get to chat to people, get to know them and what their interests are.

  • Running, tennis, movies and music. I’m very active and like to try to set a good example for my patients. I find one of the best health interventions for anyone can be exercise. I’m always after any exercise tips from my patient. Some of the most satisfying consults come about when I can motivate a patient to make exercise a part of their life.
